Arkadiusz Bialic - NOSPR

Born in 1976, he studied at the Academy of Music in Krakow in the organ class of Józef Serafin and at the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg im Breisgau with Zsigmond Száthmary. He completed solo studies at the Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst in Frankfurt am Main under the supervision of Daniel Roth, graduating with a Konzertexamen-Orgel diploma (2003). He was a scholarship holder of the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) Alfred Toepfer Stiftung and the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland. Winner of international competitions in Poland, France and Switzerland, including the Schweizer Orgelwettbewerb and, as the first Polish musician in history, of one of the most prestigious organ competitions, the Grand Prix de Chartres.

He has performed as a soloist and chamber musician, cooperated also with many orchestras including the National Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra in Warsaw, the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra in Katowice and the Beethoven Academy Orchestra conducted by, among others, Antoni Wit and Jerzy Maksymiuk.

He has made a number of radio recordings for the Polish and Slovak radio, world premieres of Polish music (including Wojciech Widłak’s work Wziemięwzięcie [Assumption]) and numerous CD recordings, including Feliks Nowowiejski's Oratorio Quo Vadis with the Symphony Orchestra of the Warmia and Mazury Philharmonic conducted by Piotr Sułkowski (DUX 2017) , the first Polish recording of Olivier Messiaen's La Nativité du Seigneur (DUX 2019), a solo album entitled Arkadiusz Bialic plays Bach, Górecki, Franck, Duruflé (Ars Sonora 2020) and Relief for solo organ by Andrzej Krzanowski as part of the project of the Polish Music Publishing House Anaklasis (PWM 2022).

He is an organ teacher at the Krzysztof Penderecki Academy of Music in Krakow and the Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw. In 2017, he obtained a doctoral degree, and in 2019, a habilitated doctor degree. Currently, as part of his scientific work, he studies Polish 20th century organ sonatas and French organ music of the Romantic era. He gives concerts in Poland and abroad (festivals in Rome, Paris, Barcelona, ​​etc.), performing repertoire ranging from the Renaissance to the present day.
